Design and Functionality
/
The Coph Nia line preamplifier is designed for the audiophile who demands the best.
Top quality audio components are selected by ear together with high grade audio
capacitors and an extremely well designed powersupply unit and it is all housed in
a meticously built enclosure of thick aluminum and steel, precision machined to the
finest finish.
/
It has 5 line level inputs switched by relays. These are goldplated RCA jacks.
There are 2 stereo outputs, also goldplated RCA jacks. One output is taken directly from
the input relays and connects to an audio recorder or a headphone amplifier. The other
output is the preamplifier main output which connects to a poweramplifier.
/
Operation is easy and all unnecessary controls like tone controls and subsonic filters have
been omitted. This solid state design does not need a long warming up time like a tube
amplifier. Just plug it in and play your music and enjoy for many years.
/
The signal path from input to output has been made very short using relays with
goldplated contacts and a carefully planned layout. The layout of the PCB has been
designed with short signal path in mind rather than to look good or be symmetrical.
The layout is two identical paths one for each channel instead of a mirrored layout.
Every unit is tested and burned in for 24 hours before shipped.

Goldplated RCA connectors with plenty of space for high quality interconnects.
Gold being a pure metal will not erode with time
and therefore it will prevent a bad connection throughout the years.
